New tree plantings

Every tree counts. We plant climate-resistant and future-proof - with biochar in the root zone for a good start.

New tree plantings

New tree plantings - urban trees for tomorrow

Why new trees need more than just a planting hole

Cities and municipalities plant thousands of new trees every year - and lose many of them after just a few years. The reasons are well known: compacted soil, lack of water, heat, lack of nutrients and root stress.

At the same time, the pressure on cities to create green infrastructure is increasing: for the microclimate, for the quality of life, to bind CO₂ and as a measure against the consequences of the climate crisis.

But traditional planting methods are no longer enough. When urban trees are planted today, they must also be able to withstand the climate stress of the coming decades.

This is exactly where we come in: with an integrative planting concept that enhances the location, permanently improves the soil structure, stores CO₂ and extends the lifespan of the trees.

How we implement climate-resilient new plantings

Our planting concept is based on findings from research, practice and pilot projects. At its heart is the use of biochar in combination with structurally stable substrates and targeted water management.

Site analysis and preparation: We analyze the local conditions - soil type, infiltration capacity, rootability and environmental influences - in order to plan the optimal structure. Substrate structure with biochar: We use a specially developed tree substrate with activated biochar. It stores water, aerates the root zone, retains nutrients and improves the soil structure in the long term. Sponge city principle: Permeable layers, root spaces with a storage function and structure-rich materials create an urban soil that can absorb and retain rain - even during heavy rainfall or dry periods. Planting and establishment care: The trees are planted according to their location and receive targeted care and water supply in the first few years - e.g. through watering rings or retention systems. Monitoring and success control: We can also record vitality data digitally for long-term evaluation of the measure and for transparent climate assessment.

What we specifically offer

Planning and implementation of planting measures: We support cities, building yards and landscape architects in the design and implementation of climate-adapted tree planting - including substrate and construction. Substrate solutions with biochar: Our tree substrates are peat-free, structurally stable, water-retaining and contain activated biochar - in various grain sizes and compositions. Documentation of CO₂ storage: every planting with biochar creates a verifiable carbon sink - ideal for CSR, funding projects or municipal climate reports. Pilot areas and model projects: We create demo areas where the impact, quality and maintenance effort can be directly understood - ideal for internal persuasion and public communication.

Conclusion

A new urban tree is more than just a symbol - it can be a real climate changer. Provided it is planted correctly.
